iMAX 8000™
iMAX 8000™ features include a 7 inch touch widescreen displaying 800x480 pixels, 20 channel GPS, Windows CE 6.0, the option for dual alternate PDN networks access, magentic card swipe and a variety of connectivity options.

The touch screen is a 5-wire resistive low drift screen, meaning it’s much more durable. In fact, compared to the four wire screen on the iPilot 8000™, the iMAX™ screen is much more likely to continue operating even if it is scratched or lightly cracked. It also offers quick response and endurance, with its manufacturer rating it at 35 million actuations, much more than conventional 4-wire resistive touch technology. iMAX 8000
iMAX 8000 The 20 channel GPS on the iMAX is also a step above the 12 channel on both the Vector 530™ and iPilot 8000™. This means that it can detect and hold the signal from 20 separate satellites, providing a much more reliable fix even in cities, although in the concrete jungle even the most high tech GPS can be foiled. That’s why, if you’re in that sort of situation, you should ask us about our Dead Reckoning technology.

The option for alternate or combined PDN (GPRS, CMDA) network access is also highly valuable, as it can be utilized in many different situations, such as recovery to a secondary network when the primary one is lost, or switching providers depending on area.

iMAX 9000
Taking the feature set of the iMAX 8000™ and adding the extra usability a modern cab company needs, the iMAX 9000™ offers six fixed keys, an upgraded processor that is so quick it means you can run multimedia offerings like DDS’s Mobile Media solution, as well as the option of running Wi-Fi and connection to USB Bluetooth.

Wi-Fi enables the operator to save on their data costs by uploading and downloading trip data when within a friendly local area network, as well as the possibility to upload supported security camera data once it reaches the service bay. iMAX 9000 PIM

Mobile Media give the ability, when deployed on the iMAX 9000™ in the back seat of a cab, to offer news and entertainment, customers to swipe their own credit card, as well as revenue opportunities through advertising and point of sale purchases. See the Mobile Media page for more information.
