Automatic Calltakers
An easy-to-use and secure Automatic Calltaker option allows pre-authorized taxi customers to create jobs through an interface with a touch tone telephone.
With this module, jobs are booked without calltaker intervention, where a voice response device allows customers to book ASAP jos at predetermined addresses. The customer enters a user identification code and the system automatically books an ASAP dispatch job. A customer may create more than one user ID number to set up multiple pickup addresses.
By enabling this feature, the customer feels more in control of their own ride, human call taker time is reduced and the chance of data entry errors is eliminated

WebBooker™
WebBooker™ allows customers to use the internet through a web browser like Explorer or Firefox to book a taxi via the taxi company's web page. This feature gives control to the customer, reduces calltaker time and reduces errors

Mapping and In-Vehicle Navigation
Pathfinder™ supports digital map displays in both the control center and in the MDT.
Vehicle Location Tracking: with Global Positioning (GPS) receivers integrated into the MDTs, Pathfinder™ can track the location of all vehicles in the fleet. The map display can be used to show several zoom levels of resolution from city overview to street level. The use of GPS vehicle location boosts driver safety and improves the accuracy of the automated dispatch. Vehicle locations are stored in a database and archived for future replay and review.
In-Vehicle Mapping and Navigation: The mapping and navigational software package, with the internal GPS receiver and stored digital maps, provides zooming and panning, street and landmark lookup, and current vehicle position and destination position. Navigation modes track the vehicles current position and destination automatically, giving drivers the tools they need to pick up and drop off customers quickly, without having to speak to the dispatcher.

Credit Card Verification
Pathfinder™ provides almost instant credit card verification for drivers, and the transaction can be handled in a single step if the final amount is known. The card is swiped on the MDT and the details are sent to the control center via secure connection. When the transaction is completed, an authorization number is returned and printed using the optional printer.
To save time, an estimated transaction amount is pre-authorized. When the job is completed and the final total is computed, the authorization number is returned to the MDT and recorded to the system. As long as the final amount is within the range of the estimated amount, no further processing is required.

 |
Debit Card Support
Pathfinder™ supports debit card payment, where the passenger uses a PIN pad connected to the MDT to swipe the debit card and complete the payment process. When the transaction is completed a transaction number is generated and printed on the receipt. All transaction information is encrypted in the PIN pad and transmitted securely.

Payment Gateway™ - Account Card and Prepaid Cards
Account cards are able to be offered to regular patrons, corporations that prefer their employees to use a certain taxi company, or any similar scenario. In an account card transaction, the account card acts like a credit card. The account is validated when the passenger gets on board, when the passenger identifies themselves with an account card number and a personal identification number.
Prepaid cards are very much like gift cards in that they have a fixed value that consumers can purchase. Once purchased they can be used or given away as gifts, incentives or promotions. To pay a fare, the customer presents the card to be swiped, then the fare amount is deducted from the cards balance. Prepaid cards have a declining balance that consumers can reload at any time by making a credit card payment.
Account card and prepaid card users can manage their cards online at anytime using the Payment Gateway™ client website, which can be customized to each cab company.

Shared Ride
Pathfinder’s Shared Ride module allows for multiple pickups and multiple drop-offs. A ride sharing job falls into one of two categories:
- Many pickups going to a single destination, e.g. students going from their homes to school.
- One pickup to many destinations, e.g. students returning home from school.
This module permits the scheduling of pre-booked account jobs so that the dispatcher can combine them into efficient routes for the driver.

NetMan™
NetMan™ provides the ability to remotely download application software to an entire fleet of Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs), eliminating the need for the drivers to bring in their vehicles to have the MDT software updated. Files are transferred in the background over the same network used to send messages and trips to the vehicles.
The download process is virtually invisible to the drivers since it requires no driver input, and it does not interfere with the trip information. System administrators can direct the download to the entire fleet, a group of vehicles, or individual vehicles.
