TaxiBook™ - Accept Multiple Payment Methods

TaxiBook allows cab drivers to cut their credit card processing time to seconds rather than minutes. The typical manual credit card transaction on a hand imprinter, or knucklebuster as it is know in the industry, can take longer than two minutes, frustrating the customer and the driver.

These imprints can then get lost, damaged or forgotten, which means that drivers and owners don’t see any revenue from that trip. Even worse, some companies process credit cards over the phone, which can take in excess of five minutes and is a high safety risk for the rider, meaning that company is less likely to experience repeat business from credit card using customers.

Using the built in credit card swipe on the top of the Vector 730™ Mobile Data Terminal, drivers can quickly and safely process credit cards in less than thirty seconds, printing out a tax receipt automatically on the built in Smart Print™ printer.
