Communication Infrastructure provided by Digital Dispatch offers a common interface for one or more applications to communicate with mobile data terminals on several different private radio networks and public data networks while hiding the complexity of mobile data communications from the application. Our exclusive private mobile radio network products provide wide-area coverage and large fleet capacity through multi-site and multi-channel capability. Transmitter steering allows a single channel to be used at multiple sites to increase the coverage area. Roaming allows for increased capacity through the use of multiple channels and sites.

Multisite Multichannel Network Controller (MNC™)

The Multi-site Multi-Channel Network Controller (MNC™) is a sophisticated radio communications network message router. The MNC™ manages vehicle roaming and encodes / decodes messages between the dispatch software and up to nine Redundant Base Station Controllers (RBC™s).

The MNC can be configured to handle simple single channel, single site communications environment to more complex ones involving communications for multiple channels on different frequencies, multiple sites on the same frequency, or a combination of multiple sites and multiple channels.

Wireless Network Gateway (WiNG™)

Redundant Base Controller (RBC™)

The Redundant Base Controller (RBC™) is the most dependable data radio controller in the market. Completely redundant and fault tolerant, the RBC™ manages base radio traffic without interruption. The RBC is located at the radio antenna site and is designed to include remote access capability, a built-in self-correcting mechanism and a back-up processor and power supply. This virtually eliminates inconvenient trips to the radio transmitter site.

The RBC™ tracks many types of statistics including the total number of outbound and inbound messages, the number of message errors, and the total number of base radio resets.

Network Manager (NetMan™)

The NetMan™ Network Manager is quite simply an invaluable application for those customers that want to reduce operational costs. Designed to operate with iPilot 8000™? and Vector 530™? mobile terminals, the NetMan™ seamlessly monitors and transmits software updates and even daily messages over-the-air without driver intervention. Customers no longer need to bring their mobile computers into a service depot each time new updates become available. With Digital Dispatch’s packet re-transmission technology and monitoring, customers can be ensured that software updates are both secure and reliable.
