iPilot 8000™

Previously the premium offering in the DDS MDT line, the iPilot 8000™ is being phased out gradually in favor of the new iMAX™ range, although it is still available on a limited basis. Offering all the standard features that the Vector 530™ does, including 12 channel GPS & magnetic card reader, as well as upgrades over the Vector like a full color, 640x480 pixel, 6.4 inch touch screen, Windows CE 4.2 and USB.

The color screen on the iPilot enables in-vehicle mapping which combines with the internal GPS receiver and stored digital maps, and provides zooming and panning, street and landmark lookup, and current vehicle position and destination position.

Navigation is an option, which tracks the vehicles current position and destination automatically on a map, giving drivers the tools they need to quickly locate and reach customer pick up and drop off locations, without having to speak to the dispatcher.

The navigation on DDS MDTs operates similarly to a consumer GPS like Garmin, but integrated with the MDT to prevent errors and minimize clutter.
